With an embossed image of two moons setting over the silhouette of a far away planet and two hands clutching a lightsabre, this exquisite packaging of The Jedi Path, a limited edition Star Wars book, is truly something to behold. Press the button on the bottom and, in a flash of light and sound effects, the doors slowly open and the book within rises on a platform. The book and package have been created after a collaboration between print production company Imago, publishers becker&mayer! and Lucasfilm.
It’s covered by soft leather, it hosts hand torn pages and a number of beautifully designed removable artifacts within the pages that include a coin-like charm, a material patch and a drink-stained napkin. The printed text is also annotated with handwritten notes by the book’s supposed previous owners.
